Group therapy
A small group, a steady room
For adults who would like to talk with others in a similar place. A clinician leads each group, and you decide how much to say. You can listen first.
Who it helps
Adults who want company and a regular time to talk, alone or alongside one-on-one sessions.
What sessions are like
A circle of chairs, a clinician who keeps the time, and a few ground rules about respect and privacy.
How we work
Talk-based groups. Your clinician says which approach the group uses and where they trained.

Good to know
The plain answers
What this is not
It is not a drop-in meeting or an emergency service. Groups are small and closed to new members between sessions.
How long, and how often
Groups meet once a week at the same time. Your clinician explains how long each group runs before you join.
How it is paid
The same plans and the same sliding scale as one-on-one sessions. You have your fee in writing first.
How fees workWho leads it
Gwendolyn Mathis leads the groups. Cipriano Fuente leads a group in Spanish when there are enough people.

Questions
What people ask about this service
What is confidential, and what are the limits?
What you share stays in the session. The law sets limits: if someone is at serious risk of harming themselves or another person, or if abuse of a child or an older adult is suspected, your clinician may have to tell others. We explain this in writing before you start.
How often, and for how long?
Individual sessions are 50 minutes, and sessions for couples and families are 80. Many people come once a week to start. Your clinician sets the pace with you and does not promise a number of sessions.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please tell us 24 hours ahead if you need to change a session, so the time can go to someone else. If something comes up at the last minute, call us and we will talk it through.
Start when it suits you
